ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Quarterback A.J. McCarron makes his return to the Saint Louis Battlehawks for the 2024 season.

After being signed by the Cincinnati Bengals for the 2023-24 season, the star quarterback decided to come back to the UFL.

“It’s awesome to be back,” McCarron said. “The city of St. Louis was the only team I wanted to come back and play for.”

During his first season of the XFL, McCarron led the Battlehawks to a 7-3 record, throwing for 2,150 ing yards and 24 touchdowns. McCarron led the offense during the last game of the season against Orlando with 420 ing yards and six touchdowns.

Although the Battlehawks didn’t qualify for the playoffs last year, McCarron looks to run it back to bring St. Louis a UFL championship.

“There’s definitely unfinished business,” McCarron said.

Last year, the Battlehawks’ offense was ranked third in ing with 2,262 yards, and receiving with 2,413 yards.
