ST. LOUIS (First Alert 4) -- St. Louis Battlehawks running back Jacob Saylors signed a deal with the NFL’s New York Giants.

Saylor led all runnings backs in the UFL this season with 461 rushing yards on 94 carries. He also scored eight touchdowns. Five of those were rushing touchdowns, tied for second in the league.

Saylors, 24, previously played at East Tennessee State. He had 104 rushing yards in a single game this season, matching a team record.

The Battlehawks will retain Saylors’ rights if he returns to the UFL.
