Man charged after fatally shooting woman in Columbus Square
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A man has been charged with shooting and killing a woman in Columbus Square in December 2024.
According to police, Deontai Glasper, 25, has been charged with murder, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon after he shot and killed a 24-year-old woman.
Charging documents state that Glasper and the woman were in a romantic relationship.
The incident happened on December 29, 2024, in the 700 block of Carr. Glasper called the woman before she went to pick him up and go to her apartment.
Surveillance video captured the two arriving. Police say he took her firearm while inside and shot her multiple times.
Glasper then called another person to have him picked up and taken away from the scene. The woman’s mother came to the apartment and saw him driving away. Police analyzed his cellphone data, which put him at the location of the scene and leaving the scene.
He itted to the shooting after police informed him of the data they collected.
Glasper is already a convicted felon of aggravated robbery.
