Troy police asking public’s help in vehicle fire investigation involving homemade fire bomb

TROY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The Troy Police Department is asking for help after an investigation revealed that a vehicle was set on fire using a homemade fire bomb.
According to Troy Police, the incident happened around 1 a.m. Monday, May 26, on Creekwood Boulevard.
Police responded to the area for a report of a vehicle fire.
Following an investigation, police learned that someone threw a homemade firebomb into the vehicle.
Detectives are asking anyone who lives in the Creekwood Blvd area to check their security cameras or doorbell cameras for any suspicious activity between midnight and 1:30 a.m. on May 26.
Police say they have extra patrols in the area, but there is no information to indicate a public safety threat currently.
